PSP2 Will Have 3G Connectivity, OLED Display, but no Phone Support

Though we still have no idea of the appearance of PSP2, still some information about PSP2 details is coming out as the as the issued date – Jan. 27 approaches.
According to Nikkei, Sony’s PlayStation Portable successor (PSP2) will support a 3G network connection. And the 3G provider in Japan will be NTT DoCoMo, which is the largest mobile carrier in Japan. PSP2 users can play games online and download software and movies. But whether the 3G support would be enables in other countries is still another question.
Though supporting 3G service, the PSP2 would not support phone calls, which is a notable difference from PS phone.
Nikkei says will sport a “larger than normal” OLED (organic light-emitting diode), and a new processor developed especially for the new console that will handle ‘high resolution visuals’.
Of Course we are all eagerly awaiting the event in Tokyo on January 27th where the PSP2 details are expected to be released.
Nintendo 3DS’s announcement for release in North America on March 27, 2011 make the handheld market get a bit of a shakeup. It will be a difficult decision to choose between PSP2 and 3DS.
